I. Working of the zinc-titanium
sheets.
The great plasticity of zinc-titanium sheets allows all
kinds of treatment with only one provision: the temperature
of the material must not drop below +10oC. At the lower temperature
the processed edges should be heated. The minimum bending radius is
2 mm.
II. Using different
metals.
The elements made of different metals should
not touch each other as this might lead to the contact corrosion
or other adverse reactions.
In the presence of the electrolyte (rain water, moisture contained
in construction materials) there is a danger of electrochemical corrosion
(creation of galvanic cells).

The copper ions contained in the flowing water might cause the surface
corrosion of the zinc-titanium sheet. For this reason this material
must not be used under the copper
elements.
III. The placement of sheets.
The best base for the zinc-titanium
sheets consists of wooden boards 20..40 mm thick and 80..140 mm wide
making full planking. The zinc-titanium sheets may not be directly
placed on the tar paper, plywood or boards impregnated with wood-protection
agents containing salt, because such materials release acid compounds
that may damage the sheets. As a material forming ventilating layer
under the sheets and protecting against harmful the Enkamat
7008 polyamide mat should be used.
